Study of the Transportation Plans

STUDY OF THE URBAN TRANSPORTATION AND CIRCULATION PLANS OF THE CONGLOMERATION OF ALGIERS

Algeria’s economic and administrative capital, the city of Algiers today is confronted with a large increase in transportation needs which cannot be met by the current infrastructures. The study of both the urban transport plan and the traffic organization of the conglomeration of Algiers will make it possible to fix in the medium and long terms the general organization of urban transport, circulation and parking in Algiers. The study, which covers all 57 communities of the Wilaya of Algiers, required detailed analyses in the 6 communities which constitute the center of Algiers. It is here that the most acute congestion problems and lack of parking spaces are to be found.
