Completion of the rail link

The Dessau/Canac group was awarded the supervision contract, including technical assistance, monitoring and work control for the construction of the 165 km rail link separating the cities of Ain M’Lila and Tébessa in western Algeria. The new rail line provides for the circulation of passenger trains at 150 km/h and freight trains at 100 km/h.

 

The scope of work is as follows: 10 500 000 m3 of earthworks; 500,000 m3 of ballast; 29 bridges and engineering structures; 450 drainage structures; 4 main stations; 13 secondary and crossing stations;1 freight station; 200 km of single line; 133 switches and crossings; 350 000 railway ties.
