La Pinière Water Treatment Facility, Laval

Physicochemical wastewater treatment facility designed to process an average discharge per dry weather of 240 000 m3/d and a maximum discharge of 591 600 m3/d (hourly peak) and an average discharge of 24 803 kg/d of SS (103 mg/L, 22 836 kg/d of DBO5 (95 mg/L and 811 kg/d of total P (3,5 mg/L).  This wastewater treatment facility provides service to a population of 245,000 persons. 

Included in the wastewater treatment facility are:

  • Pumping station
  • Pre-treatment (4 screens, 4 aerated grit chambers)
  • Primary treatment (6 flocculating tanks and 6 clarifiers)
  • Chemical phosphate removal
  • UV disinfection
  • Dewatering and thermal control of sludge
  • Odour treatment

Services provided 

  • Preliminary studies

  • Plans and specifications (structure, processes, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation and control using programmable controllers)

  • Construction management, commissioning and user guide
