Commercial Outlets-Lionel-Groulx Station

Commercial Outlets at the Lionel-Groulx Station in Montréal, Québec, Canada

 

The client, Métrocom, retained the services of Realis Construction in the fall of 2004 to construct new commercial outlets and refurbish the existing concessions in Montreal's subway stations.  This major project involves all 65  subway stations.

 

The Lionel-Groulx station was selected as a prototype station for the project. It involved building four (4) new commercial outlets on the subway station’s platforms. 

 

The new facilities have a total floor space 1,680 sq. ft.  and are currently being rented by Métrocom for commercial purposes.


Services Rendered

 

Type of mandate: EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management)

  • Preparation of architectural, structural, civil engineering, mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications;
  • Validation of construction costs after each phase of construction;
  • Coordination with the professionals;
  • Preparation of the bid documents for the work items, analysis of tenders and awarding of contracts;
  • Cost control and schedule planning; and,
  • Supervision of construction, coordination, technical support, preparation of notices of change.
