Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport – Transborder Departures – International Departures (Dorval) (1997): Reconstruction and expansion of the entire west end of the main building at the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport in Dorval to house services for transborder and international departures.

 

 

Hydro-Québec

 

Modernization and rehabilitation of the Beauharnois power plant (June 2002): The work included: modernizing the raw water supply system and adding new, self-cleaning intake screens for cooling the generators; installing new 860 kPa and 6900 kps compressed air systems including compressors and spare reservoirs; installing a lubricating oil distribution network in the power plant, including pumps and tanks; installing a sanitary drainage collector with pumping stations to recover wastewater from the sanitary blocks in the power plant; installing a new water collector for fire protection, including two 250 H.P. pumps; installing a new potable water collector; installing a 25 µ (micron)  water filtration network, including 5 sand filters with a total capacity of 5 IL/s with distribution pumps; installing a collector and building two oil/water separators that collect oily water from the power plant; installing new drainage pumps for seepage; readings and the installation of new lighting equipment and distribution panels throughout the power plant; the electric supply for connecting all the new equipment for auxiliary services; installing a new fire detection system; modernizing the control panels for the generators, including the preparation of the drawings for the relay boxes, the control and protection circuits, the person-machine interfaces, etc.; various types of structural work, supports, catwalks, pumping basins, slabs, water-oil separators, etc.

 

Toulnustouc hydro-electric power station (2001-2005): Construction of a new power station on the Toulnustouc River, north of Baie-Comeau in Quebec. Facilities consist principally of a dam, a 9.8 km headrace tunnel, a spillway and an above-ground power station featuring two 263 MW “Francis” generator groups. Two 315 MVA  power stations raise the station’s voltage from 3.8 kV to 315 kV.

Régie intermunicipale du Roussillon – Construction of a police station (Candiac) (December  2003): The Roussillon police station is a two-storey building. It is part of the Régie intermunicipale du Roussillon located in the City of Candiac. The total area of the building is 2,116 m2. The building houses five municipal departments: the police department, the inspection department, the administrative section, cells and service rooms (locker rooms and rest room).

 

City of Montreal - Construction of a neighbourhood police station (north) combined with a community centre (Saint-Léonard Borough) (1997): The building is included in a one-storey residential type facility, with a brick finish and a sheet metal gabled roof. The total area of the building is 2,100 m2 namely: 450 m2 for the police station and 1,650 m2 for the community centre. The police station includes: administrative services (with a reception area), various workstations, a conference room, an interview room, a office supply room, a rest room, sanitary facilities, a warehouse, etc.

 

 

Prisons

 

Centre de prévention de Montréal - Construction – Electricity and auxiliary systems (Rivière-des-Prairies) (1996): New construction of a maximum security type prevention centre with an area of 15,700 m2 (170,000 sq. ft.) on two floors, housing 325 cells, for the inmates who used to be located at the Centre de détention de Parthenais. This prison complex has been designed for various functions, such as: accommodation, sociocultural and sports activities, food services, admission, infirmary, administration and a workshop.

 

Public Works and Government Services Canada - La Macaza Institution (Quebec) – Expansion of new wing C-10 (La Macaza) (1997): Expansion of this medium-security prison facility with a total area of 1,052 m2 housing 16 single occupant cells with an area of 225 m2, an administrative centre with an area of 200 m2, an outdoor yard with an area of 80 m2 and a technical basement with an area of 200 m2. This project also involved functional re-organizations and the expansion of existing services.

Société des alcools du Québec – Distribution Centre (Montreal) (2002): the expansion of a warehouse measuring 170,000 sq. ft., of an SAQ Dépôt measuring 16,000 sq. ft. and the Maison des Futailles measuring 90,900 sq. ft.

 

Société des alcools du Québec - Galerie du Gouverneur – Musée du vin (Montreal) (2003): Construction of an underground museum with an area of 750 m2 at the head office of the SQ located in the former Pied-du-Courant prison, which has been classified as a historical monument.
