Dessau Engineering Earns Industry Recognition

The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) presented Dessau an Award of Excellence in the “Industrial/Bridge Projects” category for our work on the curved girder bridge that spans Highways 640 and 15, north of Montreal.

Designed by Dessau, this impressive bridge stands out thanks to its height and sleek appearance. Steel was chosen for its aesthetic qualities, as well as for more practical reasons, such as cost, easy upkeep and the need to maintain traffic flow during the construction phase.

Assembling the structure

The bridge was part of a larger interchange redesign initiative occurring at the intersection of Highways 640 and 15. The new design should better accommodate increased traffic in the area.
