Jean-Pierre Sauriol

President and Chief Executive Officer
Biography

An exceptional manager and leader, Mr. Jean-Pierre Sauriol has spearheaded Dessau’s operations since 1992. He directs one of the top 100 engineering-construction firms in the world.

Mr. Sauriol graduated from the École Polytechnique de Montréal with a degree in Civil Engineering (1979) and completed the Harvard Business School's Owner President Management Program (1993). Early in his career, Mr. Sauriol acquired solid expertise in several engineering areas, as well as in project management, planning, and cost and quality control of major projects. In 1984, he was appointed Vice President of Dessau Group, responsible for business development and the management of several departments and subsidiaries. After becoming Vice President and Director General in 1989, he was named President and Chief Executive Officer in 1992, making him the youngest president of a large-scale engineering-consulting firm in Canadian history.

Today, Dessau employs 4,800 people and operates offices in Canada, North Africa, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

Jacques Gauthier

Senior Vice President, and President and Chief Executive Officer, LVM
Biography
As Senior Vice President at Dessau and President and Chief Executive Officer at LVM, Mr. Gauthier assumes the leadership of LVM, Dessau’s soil and materials engineering subsidiary that employs 1,400 people. He also contributes to Dessau’s development throughout Canada.

A lawyer by trade and a member of the Quebec Bar Association, Mr. Gauthier has a solid background in the energy sector, having contributed to the industry’s development in Canada and the U.S. for nearly 20 years.

A seasoned manager, Mr. Gauthier is known for his leadership skills as well as his ability to devise strategic, operational and financial plans. He is a member of numerous administrative boards and committees, including the Canadian Olympic Committee. Close

Pierre Hotte

Senior Vice President, International Business Development
Biography
As Senior Vice President, International Business Development, Mr. Pierre Hotte oversees the development of strategic activities in all of the company’s target markets.

After obtaining a degree in Geological and Civil Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, Mr. Hotte spent 20 years working as a contractor building bridges and highways. His knowledge and experience cover several different engineering fields, including project management, planning, cost and quality control.

Internationally, he develops trust-based relationships with stakeholders while encouraging the employment of local professionals and resources while promoting the transfer of knowledge and expertise. Close

Rosaire Sauriol

Senior Vice President, Project Management and Construction
Biography
Mr. Rosaire Sauriol plays several roles at Dessau and its subsidiaries. He is Senior Vice President of the Project Management, Construction and Operations business unit, as well as Vice President, Major Engineering Projects – International. In addition, Mr. Sauriol is the President of Dessau Maghreb, our subsidiary in Algeria.

After completing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal and an MBA from Université de Sherbrooke, Mr. Sauriol began his career contributing to several major projects.

Today, he helps manage and develop the firm by showcasing Dessau’s skills and offering clients different project execution methods – traditional, management, EPCM (engineering, procurement, construction, management), EPC (engineering, procurement, construction), and PPP (public-private partnership). Marc Godin

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Biography
As Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Marc Godin is responsible for financial control, treasury, risk management, taxation, legal affairs, information technology, material resources, real estate and procurement for Dessau and its subsidiaries.

An actuary by training, Mr. Godin obtained a bachelor’s degree from Université Laval, an MBA in Finance and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, as well as a master’s degree in Economics from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Fellow. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial management, corporate finance and financial markets, and has held various management positions at major Canadian and European companies. Close

Isabelle Jodoin

Senior Vice President, Engineering and Urban Planning
Biography
Ms. Isabelle Jodoin is Senior Vice President of Dessau’s Engineering and Urban Planning Business Unit, which employs 1,700 people in a wide range of fields, including buildings, urband development, energy, environment, telecommunications and transportation.

An engineer by training and a seasoned manager, Ms. Jodoin possesses extensive experience in administration and operations management. Throughout her career she has held various management positions, including Vice President, Human Resources, Quality and Continuous Improvement; Vice President, Operations, Environment and Sustainable Development; and Senior Vice President, Administration. Benoit Savard

Senior Vice President, National Business Development
Biography
A Laval University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in law and a certificate in political science, Mr. Benoit Savard is Senior Vice President, National Business Development at Dessau.

With exceptional management, business development and organizational skills, he directs a the Canadian Business Development Team as well as the Communications and Marketing Departments. He also heads the company’s Corporate Responsibility and Sustainable Development efforts.

Mr. Savard oversees the firm’s strategic development across the country, establishes strategies to market Dessau’s engineering and construction services, and develops relationships with business partners to promote Dessau’s unique expertise and know-how. Close
